Okay, by reading the title of this post, you must have guessed that I am a BIG time 'chai'-holic. Like they look down on the instant coffee drinkers here, I so much look down at the dip dip version of tea-bag tea. dip a little longer just does not work for me.

Chai and samosa are like really great twins. One without the other is so incomplete! This guy, Kishor Biyani, has come up with Cha-mosa concept, setting up an express that will sell chai and samosa!

That’s a quick and neat concept. I remember when I was in India, I used to offer Bahadur (the guy who ran errands for us) cha-mosa so that he would go and stand in queue to pay my bills. Be it electricy, or telephone or any other. One cha-mosa would make things so convenient. My pact with Bahadur however was shortlived, no sooner I moved to the States, he shifted base too… whether back to Nepalese pahars is still unknown to me.

Worried that I would have my mother-in law (she is no more now.. ) standing in queue for all those bills, I began looking for a solution. And bang, I got one. Sahara Care house, offers household utility bill payment services. This is really simple and convenient. I subscribed to their annual package and for some service charge they would take care of the long queues. This time without a cha-mosa!!

The word “Shaadi” means color, sweets, gaudy clothes, tai, bua, dadi, mousajee and mousijee and many others.

But for a NRI, it also means organizing all this while sitting miles away…Me and my husband were troubled and having sleepless nights. We called up our relatives back home only to receive comments like, “aur jao amrika, wahin kar lo shaadi, wahan yeh sab nahi milta kya?”

The brand ambassador took all the pains to make the necessary arrangements for my daughter’s wedding.
